It’s been a little more than a month since we heard about G Watch, the LG smartwatch, which was announced along with Android Wear, an operating system targeted at wearable devices. Today, the company has revealed some new watch details on an official teaser site.
At the address, we can see that the gadget will be available in two colors: a black and silver, called “stealth black”, and a white one with golden details, called “champagne gold”.
The clocks will also be water and dust resistant (that is, you do not have to hide your rain pulse) and you can give commands to them using the voice: there is a microphone at the bottom that recognizes the words. As shown in the Android Wear presentation, Google now is a very important part of smartwatch.
Another novelty is that G Watch will have the screen always on. We also wondered how the battery will behave, but LG should already have a trick up its sleeve to conserve its duration. One possibility is to use the Mirasol display, the same seen in the Toq, smartwatch concept from Qualcomm , which spends very little energy. But by the images shown on the site of disclosure, does not seem to be the trick.
No more details on specifications or an expected date for release; LG only ensured that it arrives in the second quarter of this year.
