The third trimester is the last of the pregnancies and also the one in which the baby grows, grows fat and where the organs and functions have a greater development so that the baby survives outside of the mother’s belly.

The third trimester of pregnancy marks the last stage of gestation, which begins in week 27 or 28, varies from doctor to doctor, and ends at the time of delivery.

During this time you should prepare the baby’s room and the maternity suitcase, the list of things to take to maternity varies greatly, ask for a detailed list of everything you need to take to the hospital or maternity ward.

It is also the ideal time to attend the courses of preparation for childbirth and to make a birthing plan.

Third Trimester of Pregnancy

During the last 3 months of pregnancy the woman’s body begins to prepare for childbirth, the woman begins to feel more discomfort and fatigue due to the increase of the belly volume and to the increase of the weight. At this stage the baby grows about 200 grams per week.

The body suffers many changes and some quite unpleasant, difficulties breathing, bloating, urinary incontinence, constipation, nausea, vomiting, digestion problems.

The breasts also change in size, shape and color, you may notice that the auras become darker, but by the end of the trimester you may feel the output of a white substance, it is colostrum, a substance that precedes the rise of milk, some women they do not even feel the way out of colostrum.

By the 28th week, you can start small contractions, are contractions of training, are spaced and painless and serve to prepare the body for the time of delivery.

You can also notice the increase of the discharge and the exit of a gelatinous substance with rays of blood, it is the mucous plugs, plus a sign that your body is preparing itself for the great moment.
