Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Pierre Cardin, Dior and many others brands of Haute Couture are gathered for an exhibition entitled rhinestones and Vintage fashion. Discover the most famous models of the major Parisian couture houses. Clothing, jewelry, these creations will amaze you.
The Renaissance Gallery (7th Paris) will host, from November 23 to December 23, 2010, a selection of Couture and Haute Couture creations and pieces of jewellery from the years 1930 to 1990. Called “rhinestones and Vintage”, this unique exhibition will allow visitors to relive the mode of all the past decades across models made by major fashion houses, from Balenciaga to Yves Saint Laurent , Pierre Cardin and Chanel.
For the occasion, the Renaissance Gallery owner Corinne Than-Trong has selected the most significant creations of Haute Couture the years 1930 to 1990, but also a series of vintage Couture jewelry.
Open to all, the exhibition highlight including a satin jacket designed by Nina Ricci in 1935, an apron dress of crepe made by Jeanne Lanvin in 1945, a signed Christian Dior lace dress dating from 1963, the bolero toreador in silk designed by Yves Saint Laurent in 1980, or even the dress designed by Pierre Cardin silk organza in 1984.
Jewels, visitors will be able to discover the circus Max Boinet for Elsa Schiaparelli pendant(1933-1935), the bracelet Jean Patou directed by Christian Lacroix (1987), a Christian Dior Necklace (1960) or even a pin designed by Christobal Balenciaga (1960).
