BEACH HOLIDAYS
There are more than 50 beach resorts on the coast of the North Sea and the West Frisian Islands. The resort of Bergen en Zie is located near the fishing village of Bergen. Its name is translated as “Bergen at sea”. In addition, you can look into the Aquarium, which contains a variety of inhabitants of the seabed. Another beach resort is located 30 km from Amsterdam – Zandvoort. Its popularity is due to the fact that here, in the southern part of the resort, there is the largest nudist beach in the Netherlands.

DIVING IN THE NETHERLANDS
There are opportunities for diving. The best time for diving is from May to October. The main dive sites are located in the southwestern part of the North Sea coast, in the Zeeland region. You can surf on the southwest coast of the Netherlands. The season here runs from May to September. The most popular place among surfers is the Domburg beach in the Zeeland region.
BICYCLE TOURISM
Most of the country is flat, so cycling tourism is developed here. Biking is possible between cities, since the distance between them is short, you can simply travel along the dunes in the north of the Netherlands, for example in the Dunroad region, or along the numerous bicycle routes in the Gelderland valley, especially in the Hohe Veluwe National Park. ECOTOURISM
There are 19 National Parks in the Netherlands. The most popular of them are Hohe Veluwe, Bisbos, Oosterskeld, Loon and Drunen and Skirmonnikug.
The oldest and most famous national park in the country is the Hohe Veluwe.. It is located in the province of Gelderland. Most of the park is occupied by moraine plains that formed after the ice age, while the rest of it is forested. Of the animals, wild boars, red deer, and roe deer live here. In the southwest of the country on the coast of the North Sea is the largest park in the Netherlands – Oosterskeld. Its area is 37 thousand hectares. It is an intertidal zone with sandy shores and brackish marshes. Many birds feed here, and you can also go diving here, because lobsters, cuttlefish and various mollusks are found in coastal waters. On Tessel Island, which is part of the West Frisian Islands, the Dunes National Park is interesting. On an area of 4,300 ha, both dry and flooded dunes are represented. On the northernmost of the West Frisian Islands is the Skirmonnikoog National Park. This territory is uninhabited, therefore, it has been preserved almost untouched, in its original form. This is a great place for lovers of cycling, as well as for those who love to watch birds.
